Neuro‑Somatic Coaching for Parents and Practitioners
Our nervous systems are the atmosphere our children and clients breathe. We cannot sustainably co‑regulate anyone else’s autonomic nervous system while our own is stuck in chronic fight, flight, or collapse. Neuro‑somatic coaching is designed to restore regulation in the caregiver first, so safety is not just something you “do,” but something your body actually is.

Why this work matters
After pregnancy, birth, and prolonged stress, many parents and especially working mothers, are left in a state of deep nervous system depletion. Sleep disruption, medical complications, unresolved trauma, and relentless demands can keep a parent’s body in survival mode even when life is “back to normal.” In that state, it becomes incredibly difficult to read a child’s cues accurately, respond flexibly, or offer the calm co‑regulation a developing nervous system needs.
Children don’t inherit just our genes; they inherit our nervous systems. Over time, an infant or young child organizes their own autonomic patterns around the signals they receive from our bodies: our breath, voice, timing, and touch. Preserving and enhancing ANS safety early is far easier than trying to repair deeply entrenched patterns later in life.

Who this is for
Neuro‑somatic coaching may be a good fit if you are:
-
A parent of an infant or young child who feels chronically overwhelmed, “on edge,” or shut down, even when nothing is obviously wrong.
-
A mother or birthing parent who never quite recovered after pregnancy, birth, or NICU experiences and notices your child reacting to your stress.
-
A working parent trying to hold a demanding job while also caring for a child with sensory, feeding, sleep, or emotional regulation challenges.
-
A therapist, coach, educator, or healer who senses that your own nervous system limits how deeply you can co‑regulate or attune to the people you serve.

What sessions look like
Neuro‑somatic coaching sessions are practical, structured, and grounded in both neuroscience and body‑based practice. Depending on your situation, sessions may include:
-
Gentle, guided regulation work for you as the parent or practitioner—breath, posture, micro‑movement, and orienting practices to shift your own ANS out of chronic defense.
-
Parent–child or “Mom & Me” sessions that use play, rhythm, touch, and interaction to strengthen co‑regulation and felt safety for both of you at the same time.
-
Support for everyday regulation challenges: feeding and dietary sensitivities, sensory overwhelm, sleep struggles, gait and coordination issues, and transitions.
-
Coaching on how to structure your home or clinical environment so that safety cues are built into daily life, rather than added as one more thing on your to‑do list.
The goal is not perfection, but a more resilient baseline—so that both you and your child (or your clients) have more access to curiosity, connection, and spontaneous play.

Why start early
It is much easier to preserve and support a developing nervous system than to “fix” one that has spent decades in survival mode. Early intervention at the level of the ANS—through relationship, play, and physiology—can reduce the need for more intensive repair later.
If you’d like to explore whether neuro‑somatic coaching for you, your child, or your practice is appropriate, we can begin with a brief consultation to clarify your history, your current load, and your goals for regulation—for yourself and for those who rely on you.

Specialized Services & Consultations
Beyond our primary paths of care, we offer the following specialized services.
Neuroplasticity Consultation
This is for the individual who wants a comprehensive “owner’s manual” for their nervous system. This consultation‑based service is designed to give you a deep understanding of your unique neurological patterns. We review your history, labs, and goals to create a personalized roadmap that may include targeted dietary strategies, supplements, and specific reflex‑integration or yoga‑therapy exercises you can do at home. Neuroplasticity consultations are available in person or via secure video (Zoom/FaceTime), so you can learn and practice these tools even if you are not local.

-
$250 for a 75-minute consultation (includes up to 15 minutes of medical record review)
-
Additional medical records review beyond 15 minutes is billed at $50 per 15 minutes
-
Comprehensive treatment summary and personalized plan for an additional fee ($50 /15 minutes)

Mommy and Me Sessions (Can be both Parents)
A child's nervous system co-regulates with their primary caregiver. These gentle sessions are designed to support both of you. In a soothing environment, we work to establish and strengthen healthy vagal tone for both parent and child (typically under age 4) through play, gentle instruction, and connection.
These sessions are in‑person only. For parents who live farther away, many of the same ideas and practices can be taught through neuro‑somatic coaching via Zoom/FaceTime.
