From Survival Mode to True Regulation: Integrative Health for the Nervous System.

Are you living in a constant state of fight, flight, or freeze? When chronic stress, unresolved trauma, or complex illness leave the body dysregulated, traditional symptom-based care often plateaus. The problem isn't just in the mind—it’s in the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS).

We specialize in treating the root cause of chronic nervous system activation, helping your body shift out of defense mode and achieve a genuine state of rest, health, and connection.

The Polyvagal Breakthrough

Welcome—I’m Dr. Jennifer Moffitt, former research scientist and the creator of two pioneering, integrative modalities that bridge ancient wisdom (TCM) with contemporary neuroscience, Polyvagal Theory (PVT), and physical therapy:

-
Polyvagal Acupuncture ® (PVA): The original, needle-based approach that targets sinew channels and fascial pathways to directly stimulate neuroplastic change and restore healthy vagal tone. PVA® offers a precise, hands-on path to treat complex conditions, including PTSD, demyelinating disease, and persistent nerve pain.

-
Polyvagal Massage™ (PVM™): The specialized, gentle, and non-invasive sister-modality to PVA.® PVM™ uses light-touch bodywork and somatic techniques to provide profound parasympathetic support without needles. It is the ideal choice for sensitive populations, including pediatrics, seniors, pregnant individuals, and those with needle sensitivity.

Our Science: The Body's Blueprint for Restoration

Our methodology works by engaging the complex systems that govern your body's recovery and bridges ancient wisdom with modern research. This work was initially developed during the COVID-19 pandemic and served as the basis for my doctoral capstone project, leading to this proven clinical model six years later:

-
Vagal Tone: We restore function to the vagus nerve, helping you access the "rest and digest" state necessary for physical and emotional recovery.
-
Fascial Release: We target the fascia, the body's largest sensory organ, to release spasticity and tension that mirrors chronic nervous system dysregulation.
-
Primitive Reflex Integration: We work directly with the retained motor patterns (like the Startle Reflex) that lock the body into hypervigilance, facilitating a "bottom-up" neurological reset.
-
Classical Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture): We utilize the profound principles of meridian theory and Qi flow to harmonize the body's energy and structural integrity.
-
Functional Medicine for Neuroplasticity: We assess and support neuroplasticity precursors, addressing nutritional and biological foundations required for nervous system repair and long-term health.
-
Circadian Cycling: We integrate strategies to balance circadian rhythms and sleep/wake cycles, which are critical for regulating stress hormones and achieving optimal health.

🎓 The PVA™ Post-Graduate Education Programs

Our proprietary methodology is now established as the gold standard in integrative neurobiology.
This body of work has officially grown into a full post-graduate program for practitioners. We began teaching these concepts at the post-graduate level in Spring 2025, to prepare licensed professionals in the precise application of Polyvagal Acupuncture™ (PVA™).
Practitioners, stay tuned! With the successful federal review and approval of our trademark application, we will expand our professional course offerings and advanced programs in 2026.
